Conspiracy case: HC directs actor Dileep to produce a mobile phone before Monday

The Kerala high court on Saturday ordered the actor Dileep to produce his mobile phone before the court on Monday on a conspiracy case. The court directed that phones be submitted before the Registrar General of the High Court before 10 am on Monday. Meanwhile, the court pointed out that an actor refusing to provide evidence can only be viewed as part of a conspiracy.

Further, the court dismissed the arguments tabled by the actor and stated that it was not ideal to send the phones for inspection on his own. Earlier, Dileep had told the court that he had sent his phones to a lab in Hyderabad for forensic examination. However, the court questioned the right held by the actor to send phones for such an examination.

The court also viewed that only centrally recognized agencies are entitled to do so and the result of his examination was not valid under the Evidence Act. Meanwhile, the actor claimed that the police and the media are trying to tarnish his image. According to the reports actor, Dileep planned to murder the investigating officers involves in an actress sexual assault case in 2019.
