India’s World Cup Cricket Team Revealed: Sanju Samson Left Out, Rahul and Bumrah Are Back

The Indian team lineup for the upcoming ODI Cricket World Cup has been unveiled. Sanju Samson, who was previously a reserve in India’s Asia Cup squad, has not secured a spot on the team. Leading the 15-member squad is Rohit Sharma, with KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah making their comeback after recovering from injuries. Serving as the vice-captain is Hardik Pandya.

The announcement of the team was made during a press conference in Sri Lanka, jointly addressed by selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar and team captain Rohit Sharma. Alongside Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal and Thilak Verma have also been omitted from the squad. Notable additions to the World Cup lineup include Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shreyas Iyer, who is in the process of recuperating from an injury.

The Indian Squad for the World Cup consists of the following players: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya (Vice Captain), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav.
