IFFK; ‘Satan Slaves: Communion’ leaves audience at the edge of their seats

The Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) on Monday featured the Indonesian horror film ‘Satan Slaves 2: Communion’. The film which left the audience at the edge of the seats had a turn out of 4,000 at the Nishagandhi auditorium. A youth reportedly fell unconscious during the screening of the movie as well.

The film is directed by Joko Anwar who is well known for his horror movies. The film explores events in a family in the aftermath of the death of their mother and the disappearance of their sibling.

Rini along with her father and two brothers moves into an isolated apartment complex in Jakarta, living in oblivion of their neighbours as well as the apartment’s sinister secrets. As one particular incident sets in, the movie takes on to a terrifying adventure filled with frequent jump scares and spine-chilling narratives.
