Punyam poonkavanam honoured unsung heroes; Minister inaugurated the project

On the auspicious day of Makaravilakk Devasom minister K Radhakrishnan inaugurated punyam poonkavanam day observance at the Sree dharma sastha auditorium at sannidhanam. Punyam poonkavanam project honoured all those unsung heroes who worked for spreading the message of conscious and responsible pilgrimage. M.R. Ajith Kumar IPS, additional director general of police presided over the function.

Actor Unni mukundan and baby Deva Nanda’s popular film “Malikappuram” were felicitated on the occasion. Shirts and dhotis were distributed to around 500 volunteers in the sannidhanam, erumeli, and pampa. Punyam poonkavanam also introduced the concept of ‘orumudi sanchi’. Apart from Kerala, campaigns based on punyam poonkavanam were conducted in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
