Assembly election; BJP leading in Tripura, Nagaland; NPP ahead in Meghalaya

While counting the assembly election votes from North East states it is shown that BJP continues to mark their presence in Tripura and Nagaland and NPP is ahead in Meghalaya. Mamata’s Trinamool Congress emerged as the National People’s Party’s key challenger in Meghalaya, with Congress and BJP battling for their presence.

To the surprise of everyone, BJP heads to victory in Nagaland as NPF, Congress and others trail behind. As counting nears its conclusion, in Nagaland, the NDPP-BJP alliance retained a lead in 40 of 60 seats. Meanwhile, NPF leads in just 3 seats. BJP is ahead in Tripura, leading in 33 seats and the CPM-Congress alliance in 16 seats.

Meanwhile, Tipra Motha Party (TMP), also known as the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance, surprised everyone by leading at 10 seats here. In Meghalaya, BJP, where they contested in all 60 seats for the first time, is leading only in 05 seats, while the National People’s Party (NPP) maintains a lead in 25 seats, Congress and TMC, both leading in 05 seats each.
