Swiss Open 2023: India won doubles crown, 1st title of the season

India’s top-ranked doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won their first title of the season at the Swiss Open 2023 in Basel. Satwik and Chirag won the doubles title, beating Ren Xiang Yu an Tang Qiang of China in straight games in the final on Sunday, March 26.

Satwik and Chirag defeated the World No. 21 21-19, 24-22 in 54 minutes to get off the mark in the new season. The Indian stars, seeded No. 2, were in control of the match despite a strong defensive show from their opponents Ren and Tang.
