9 injured after hotel lift collapsed in Noida

Nine people were injured after an elevator at a hotel in Noida’s Sector 49 collapsed and had a free fall from the third to the ground floor, said police on Friday. Among the injured three people suffered bone fractures and were admitted to a private hospital.

However, the police suspect the accident happened because of overloading. The incident is under investigation.
On Thursday, a similar incident happened at a Greater Noida society.
