John Cena Announces WWE Retirement, Final Match in Las Vegas Next Year

Popular WWE Champion and actor John Cena has announced his retirement from in-ring competitions starting in 2025. Cena revealed this during a surprise appearance at the ‘Money in the Bank’ event in Toronto.

His announcement wasn’t well-received by fans, who chanted “No! No! No!” when he began to speak. Cena made his appearance carrying a towel with an altered version of his famous catchphrase, ‘My Time Is Now’, now reading ‘The Last Time Is Now’. His shirt also read, ‘John Cena Farewell Tour’.

Cena clarified that his retirement wouldn’t be immediate. He will continue competing until 2025, participating in the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and concluding his career at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.

Cena made his WWE debut in 2002 and has had remarkable rivalries with industry giants like The Rock, CM Punk, Triple H, and Randy Orton. Outside of wrestling, Cena has starred in films such as Fast X, The Suicide Squad, and Marine.
