Likelihood of Intense Rainfall in State; Two Districts under Yellow Alert

The Central Meteorological Department has indicated that wet weather will persist across the state, with the possibility of sporadic heavy rainfall in various locations. A yellow alert has been issued for two districts today.

Caution is advised in the districts of Ernakulam and Alappuzha. Rain alerts have been issued for a total of 8 districts: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Pathanamthitta, and Idukki.

The forecast includes the potential for isolated instances of substantial rainfall. Heavy rainfall is defined as precipitation ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within a 24-hour span. Furthermore, there is a warning for thunderstorms on the 29th and 30th.
