Veena’s Company Challenges SFIO Probe in Karnataka High Court

Veena’s company, Exalogic, has taken legal action against the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) probe initiated by the central government. The company has filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court, as it is based in Karnataka, challenging the investigation led by SFIO. The petition is directed against the Director of SFIO and the Central Government. This legal move comes as there were indications that SFIO intended to question Veena on allegations related to receiving funds from CMRL without delivering the promised services. The company’s decision to approach the High Court aligns with the legal counsel provided by senior Supreme Court advocate CS Vaidyanathan. In a related development, the Kerala High Court has rejected KSIDC’s request to halt the inspection, seeking an explanation from the Central Corporate Ministry. The case is scheduled for further consideration on the 12th of this month.
