Safeguard Your Future: Essential Advisory for Kerala PSC Exam Applicants

A crucial advisory has been issued for candidates applying for various examinations conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC). Following a recent incident where around 400 applicants did not receive their hall tickets for the Lower Primary (LP) – Upper Primary (UP) assistant exam, candidates are urged to safeguard their applications for future reference. Many individuals are currently applying for positions such as LP-UP teacher, sub-inspector, panchayat secretary, office assistant, civil police officer, and women civil police officer. The PSC, in a previous case, attributed the issue to technical problems during a website update, emphasizing the need for candidates to keep printed copies or screenshots of their applications as evidence to avoid complications in the future. To do so, candidates should visit their profiles on the PSC website, select the ‘My application’ option, view the list of posts applied for, and save PDFs of their applications for secure storage.

This advisory comes in the wake of a concerning incident during the LP-UP assistant exam, where approximately 400 diligent applicants were denied the opportunity to participate due to the non-receipt of hall tickets. Despite the applicants’ attempts to address the issue through complaints and legal avenues, the lack of evidence regarding their applications proved to be a significant obstacle. The PSC acknowledged technical problems during a website update as the cause, underscoring the importance of proactive measures by candidates.

As candidates actively pursue various government positions, including sub-inspector, panchayat secretary, office assistant, civil police officer, and women civil police officer, the potential for similar technical glitches looms large. Given the sheer volume of candidates applying for numerous positions, the risk of complications arises again. To mitigate this risk, candidates are strongly advised to take precautionary steps and secure proof of their applications.

The recommended method involves visiting the PSC website, navigating to the ‘My application’ option in their profiles, and accessing a list of posts applied for in 2023 and 2024. By clicking on the ‘+’ (plus) sign next to each file, candidates can obtain a PDF of their application, which can then be saved as a screenshot or in print form for secure storage. This proactive approach ensures that candidates have tangible evidence of their applications, safeguarding their future participation in examinations and protecting their aspirations for government positions from unforeseen technical hitches.
