MA Yusuff Ali, the Chairman of Lulu Group, has emerged as the leading philanthropist among Malayalees. According to a report compiled by financial research firm Hurun India and Edelgive Foundation, Yusuff Ali has donated an astounding amount of Rs 107 crore within a year, making him the top contributor to various charitable causes. His contributions have significantly impacted the lives of many in need.

Following closely behind Yusuff Ali is Kris Gopalakrishnan, one of the co-founders of Infosys, who secured the second position in the philanthropy list by donating Rs 93 crore. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, the founder of V-Guard, stands at the third position, having donated Rs 82 crore for charitable initiatives. These individuals have showcased an unwavering commitment to social welfare activities, uplifting communities and making a substantial difference in society.

Other notable philanthropists on the list include the Muthoot Finance family, SD Shibulal (another Infosys co-founder), VP Nandakumar (Chairman of Manappuram Group), Joy Alukas (Chairman of Joy Alukas Group), Gokulam Gopalan (Chairman of Gokulam Group), and Muhammad Majeed (Chairman of Sami Sabinsa Group). Together, these philanthropists have contributed a total of Rs 435 crores to various charitable causes, reflecting their dedication to the betterment of society.
