Former Kerala High Court Judge KV Sankaranarayanan Passes Away at 83

Former judge of the Kerala High Court, KV Sankaranarayanan, aged 83, breathed his last. Serving as a high court judge from 1997 to 2001, Sankaranarayanan had a distinguished legal career. Beginning as a munsif in 1971, he served in various regions, including Neyyattinkara, Kottarakara, and Irinjalakuda. In 1984, he became the first district judge in Pathanamthitta and continued his services in Thodupuzha and Thiruvananthapuram.

In 1996, Sankaranarayanan assumed the role of the Ernakulam principal district judge, contributing significantly to the legal landscape. With a background as an alumnus of Madras Law College, he commenced his legal practice under his late father, Advocate Venkitadri Iyer. Survived by his wife D Savithri and daughter Seetha, the former judge’s demise marks the end of a dedicated and impactful legal career.
