Tragic Accidents Shake Two States: Selfie-Driven Mishap in Jharkhand, Fatal Collision in Tamil Nadu

In a heartbreaking incident, a family’s joyous journey turned tragic when their SUV plunged off a bridge at Sikatiya barrage in Jharkhand’s Deoghar, claiming the lives of five members. The accident, occurring this morning, was a result of the driver attempting to take a selfie while driving. The ill-fated SUV, en route from Asansol Sankul village in Deoghar to Giridih district, lost control and fell into the river. Among the victims, some reports suggest, was an engineer. The police swiftly responded, recovering the car and shifting the bodies to Deoghar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An ongoing investigation is focused on understanding the circumstances leading to this tragic incident.

In another devastating event earlier that day, seven lives were lost in Tamil Nadu when a car, transporting workers from a glue manufacturing factory in Puducherry, collided with a Tamil Nadu Road Transport bus on Krishnagiri National Highway in Tiruvannamalai. The accident claimed the lives of six workers from Assam and one from Tamil Nadu. Tragically, five individuals succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while two others passed away during treatment at the hospital. The cause of this collision remains under investigation, leaving many questions unanswered.
