In another development, Shahi Kabir was honored with the best screenplay award in the Malayalam film domain for his work in the movie ‘Naayattu’, while Vishnu Mohan earned recognition as the best debut director for ‘Meppadiyan’.

On the national front, Allu Arjun was named the best actor for his portrayal in the film ‘Pushpa’, while Alia Bhatt (for ‘Gangubhai Kathiavadi’) and Kriti Sanon (for ‘Mimi’) were selected as the best actresses. The top film award was claimed by ‘Rocketry- The Nambi Effect’, a cinematic tribute to the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, directed by actor R Madhavan. Nikhil Mahajan was honored with the best director award for the Marathi film ‘Godavari’.
