Goods Train Collides with Kanchanjunga Express in West Bengal, Resulting in 5 Deaths and 30 Injuries

Five people have died, and around 30 others were injured when a goods train collided with the Sealdah-bound Kanchanjunga Express near Rangapani station in West Bengal on Monday, according to police reports.

Rescue operations are ongoing at the accident site, which is about seven kilometers from North Bengal’s New Jalpaiguri station. The injured are being taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

“Five fatalities have been confirmed so far, and around 30 people have been injured, though none are in life-threatening condition,” stated a senior police officer.
