Fire Breaks Out at Plastic Warehouse in Thiruvananthapuram, Brought Under Control
A significant fire erupted at a plastic warehouse in Kochuveli, Thiruvananthapuram, on Tuesday morning. The blaze occurred at the Surya Packs warehouse and was successfully brought under control by 12 fire engines dispatched from various parts of the district.
The fire reportedly spread to a storage area containing raw materials for a plastic recycling facility. Local residents noted that the fire began around 3:30 am.
Crucially, there is a petrol station and a titanium factory near the site. Reports indicate that the fire was prevented from spreading to these potentially hazardous areas. Further details are awaited.
