CM Pinarayi Vijayan to Inaugurate Four-Year Undergraduate Courses in State Today

Today marks the launch of four-year undergraduate courses in the state’s universities, celebrated with the ‘Knowledge Festival.’ The state-level inauguration will be led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthapuram Women’s College at 12 noon, with Minister Dr. R Bindu presiding over the event.

New students will be welcomed by senior students, teachers, and public representatives, followed by an orientation class on the four-year degree program. This program will adhere to a unified academic calendar, with a syllabus based on the minimum credit and curriculum components prescribed by the UGC. Additionally, skill development courses and centers will be introduced. Students will have the flexibility to design their degree structure by selecting subject combinations that align with their interests and career goals.
