Truecaller Launches Fraud Insurance in India for iOS and Android Users

Truecaller has introduced a new insurance protection plan named Truecaller Fraud Insurance to shield its premium subscribers in India from mobile frauds. Initially launched for both iOS and Android platforms, the plan offers coverage of up to Rs. 10,000 in partnership with HDFC Ergo, focusing on safeguarding users against online scams and frauds. The insurance is integrated within the Truecaller app, accessible to annual premium subscribers who opt in for the service. Eligible users include certain plan subscribers and Truecaller Family members, who can extend the coverage to all family members.

The initiative follows Truecaller’s recent deployment of an AI-based Call Scanner feature aimed at preventing voice scams using artificial intelligence technology.
