Jaick C Thomas Emerges as LDF Candidate for Puthupally Bypolls, Official Announcement Tomorrow

Jaick C Thomas is set to be the LDF candidate for the upcoming Puthupally bypolls, with the official announcement scheduled for tomorrow. This decision was reached during a CPM district committee meeting, where Jaick Thomas, a CPM district committee member, emerged as the preferred choice from the outset. While Reji Zacharia and K M Radhakrishnan were also considered, Jaick’s candidacy will be discussed and confirmed during the CPM state secretariat meeting today. The announcement of the candidate will be a joint effort between the Puthupally mandalam committee and the district committee, expected to take place tomorrow.

The election notification was issued recently, allowing nomination papers to be submitted from today until August 17, and the scrutiny of these nominations will occur on August 18. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until August 21. The bypolls are scheduled for September 5.
