Kerala Women’s Commission Initiates Case Against Actor Alencier for Misconduct Toward Journalist

The Kerala Women’s Commission has taken action against actor Alencier, initiating a suo motu case following allegations of misconduct towards a journalist. The Chairperson of the Women’s Commission, Advocate P Sathidevi, has requested a report from Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP D Shilpa regarding the incident.

Alencier had made derogatory comments during a state film awards event after receiving an award, which sparked outrage. His comments regarding not succumbing to the temptation of honoring a female sculpture were widely criticized. Many expected him to address the issue and apologize, but instead, he used offensive language when approached by a journalist for an interview.

As a result, a case has been registered against Alencier for his inappropriate behavior towards the journalist, and the Women’s Commission is actively investigating the matter.
