Diwali Relief: Special Bus Services Eased Travel for Kerala-Bound Passengers from Bengaluru

In response to the heavy influx of Malayalis traveling from Bengaluru to their hometowns during the Diwali holidays, both Kerala and Karnataka Road Transport Corporations (RTC) have decided to operate special bus services. Karnataka RTC has scheduled 12 special services to destinations such as Ernakulam, Kottayam, Munnar, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur on November 10. On the other hand, Kerala RTC has announced over 20 special buses to Payyannur, Kannur, Kozhikode, Thrissur, and Ernakulam.

Due to the high demand, most of the Kerala RTC buses were quickly sold out when bookings opened. Authorities have stated that additional special services will be introduced if all tickets are sold out. Train tickets were also sold out well in advance due to the seasonal rush, making these special bus services crucial for Kerala-bound travelers during the Diwali period.
