Heavy Rainfall Expected in Northern Kerala Districts for Three Days

The northern districts of Kerala are set to receive heavy rainfall over the next three days due to a cyclonic circulation over Karnataka and Goa. The hilly areas in the southern districts will also experience significant rainfall, although the coastal regions will see comparatively less precipitation.

The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services has issued a warning about the ‘kallakkadal’ phenomenon, predicting heavy sea attacks on the coasts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu for two days. Consequently, fishing activities on the Kerala coast are advised against, and residents in coastal areas are urged to exercise caution.

Yellow alert today – Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod.
