Supreme Court lifts the life ban on Sree Santh : Directs BCCI to take a fresh decision on punishment

Partly allowing the appeal of cricketer S Sreesanth, the Supreme Court today set aside the life ban imposed by the Board of Control of Cricket in India(BCCI) on him for indulging in spot-fixing during 2013 Indian Premier League.

The Court has directed the disciplinary committee of BCCI to take a decision on the quantum of punishment within 3 months from today.

Significantly, the Court has not disturbed the findings of guilt made by the disciplinary committee against the Kerala based cricketer.

The incident for conferring the life ban had taken place in 2013, during the Indian Premier League.

From there on the cricketer is going through continuous legal battle to uplift the ban.

In 2017 August, Mr. Sree Santh had a sigh of relief as the single bench judge of the Kerala High Court brought a judgement in his favour. But by an appeal from BCCI, the decision got reversed.

This incident has affected the career of the vibrant bowler and he has been going through legal procedures to sort it out .

Now it’s a good sign, All the best Sree Santh.
