Extreme Heat Alert: IMD Warns of High Temperatures in 10 Kerala Districts

The state of Kerala is grappling with scorching temperatures as the Disaster Management Authority issues alerts in 10 districts today. The affected areas include Palakkad, Kollam, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures are expected to soar, reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius in Palakkad and Kollam districts, 38 degrees Celsius in Pathanamthitta and Kottayam, and 37 degrees Celsius in Thrissur. Additionally, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts may experience temperatures of around 36 degrees Celsius.
