A fire has broken out at an operation theatre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, news agency ANI reported late on Sunday evening. Four fire tenders have been rushed to the spot.
Deputy commissioner of police (southwest) Devender Arya said that the fire originated from the ground floor operation theatre (OT) complex of the hospital.
No casualty was reported till 7 pm.
“The hospital authorities have told us that no patient was affected in the fire. They said nobody is trapped inside the OT complex. However, a search operation is on. As of now nobody is reported to have died or injured in the fire,” he said.
