Government Unveils Parliament’s Special Session Agenda

The central government has unveiled the agenda for the upcoming special session of Parliament, scheduled to commence on September 18. Notably, certain bills, such as the ‘one country one election’ proposal and any potential changes to the country’s name, are not part of the agenda.

During this session, Rajya Sabha will deliberate on bills like the Post Office Bill, Election Commissioner Appointment Bill, and the Repeal and Amendment Bill. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha will consider the Advocates Amendment Bill and the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill. Additionally, both Houses will engage in discussions reflecting on the 75-year history of the Indian Parliament.
