India Clinches Sixth Gold in Asian Games in 10m Air Pistol Event

In the Asian Games, India secured its sixth gold medal as the Indian men’s team emerged victorious in the 10m air pistol event. The gold was clinched by the trio of Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Cheema, and Shiva Narwal.

Additionally, India’s Roshibina Devi earned a silver medal in the women’s 60 kg Wushu category. Despite reaching the final, she settled for silver after a defeat to a Chinese player.

Originally scheduled for 2022, the Asian Games were postponed to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event features a total of 481 medal competitions across 40 sports, taking place at 44 venues. It brings together 12,417 athletes from 45 countries, including India, and is slated to conclude on October 8.
