Return of NRIs; Two flights flew to the United Arab Emirates 

Kochi / Kozhikode: Two flights were flown to the UAE to repatriate the stranded expatriates in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The first flight took off from Nedumbassery International Airport. The second flight took off from Karipur airport.

The Air India flight, which took off at 12 noon from Nedumbassery, will return at 9.40 pm with the first group of expatriates. The flight will take 177 people from Abu Dhabi.

The second flight from Kerala took off at Karipur at 1.40 pm. After arriving in Dubai, the flight will depart at 5.30 pm. The flight departed from Karipur is one hour late. However, the authorities expect that the flight will return to Karipur by 11 pm.

At the same time, a ship carrying expatriates from Mali has arrived on Mali. The ship, the Navy’s INS Jalashaw, has arrived in Mali. According to reports, the ship will be docked at Kochi on Friday. Another ship, the INS Magar, is also on the Mala island mission.
