India-China Border Faceoff: Indian Colonel, 2 soldiers killed

An Indian Army officer and two jawans were killed in a massive ‘violent face-off’ with Chinese troops on Monday night. This happened during the de-escalation process in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. Senior military officials from India and China are trying to defuse the scenario. China has broken the 1993 peace agreement.

A large number of Indian and Chinese soldiers were engaged in a very crucial situation in Galwan Valley and certain other areas of eastern Ladakh for the last five weeks.

“During the de-escalation process underway in the Galwan Valley, a violent face-off took place yesterday night with casualties on both sides. The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers. Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation” said a brief statement by army
