Human sacrifice case: Court sends 3 accused to police custody

In the Elanthoor human sacrifice case, Perumbavoor judicial magistrate court on Wednesday sent the three accused to 9-days of police custody. The court issued the order while considering the murder case of Roslin. The three accused namely Muhammad Shafi, Laila and Bhagaval Singh will be allowed to meet their lawyer for 15 minutes during the period of police custody.

Kalady police have submitted a plea before the court seeking the custody of the accused. In the plea, the police requested the court to send the three accused into police custody for 10 days. The police pointed out that further investigation should be carried out into 20 matters related to the human sacrifice case. As per the police remand report, the husband-wife pair of Bhagaval Singh and Laila conspired with the “prime accused” Muhammed Shafi to commit the crimes.
