In a stroke of luck, Nazar from Kannur Alakode Parappa has clinched the coveted first prize of Rs 10 crore in the Summer Bumper Lottery. The winning ticket, bearing the number SC 308797, was sold by Shree Rajarajeswara Agency in Alakode. Nazar, an auto driver from Karthikapuram, expressed shock at his unexpected windfall, having purchased the ticket only the night before.
The draw, held at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram at 2 pm, saw ticket SA 177547 emerge as the second prize winner, entitling the holder to Rs 50 lakh. Notably, out of the 36 lakh tickets printed, a staggering 33.5 lakh were sold this year, marking an increase of three and a half lakh tickets compared to the previous year. Priced at Rs 250 each, the lottery generated immense excitement among participants.
