Summer Rain Forecast: Seven Kerala Districts Braced for Showers

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts rainfall in seven Kerala districts till tomorrow, including Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki, and Thrissur. Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta’s hilly regions are expected to receive more rain, with a likelihood of evening showers and thunderstorms. Similarly, Kottayam and Idukki may experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms at night.

Despite the rain, daytime temperatures are expected to remain high. Kollam and Palakkad are anticipated to reach maximum temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius from April 3rd to 7th. Additionally, the IMD forecasts a rise in maximum temperature to 38°C in Kozhikode and 36°C (2-4°C above normal) in several districts, including Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, and Kasaragod.
