The 67th national film awards were declared today. The awards were about to held in May last year but were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The awards are given by the Directorate of Film Festivals, an organisation under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Tamil actor Dhanush and Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee will share best actor National Film Award for ‘Bhonsle’ and ‘Asuran’, respectively.
Kangana Ranaut won the best actress award for Manikarnika and Panga.
Malayalam film ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ won the national film award for best feature film.
Vijay Sethupathi won best supporting actor for the movie Super Deluxe.
Films Biryani (Malayalam), Lata Bhagwan Kare (Marathi), Picasso (Marathi) won special mentions.
