Kochi: Fuel prices have gone up for the fourth day in a row in five states following the release of Assembly election results. Petrol price was hiked by 28 paise per litre and diesel by 33 paise. In Thiruvananthapuram, diesel was priced at Rs 87.90 and petrol at Rs 93.25.

In Kochi, petrol was priced at Rs 91.37 and diesel at Rs 86.14. This is the fourth increase after the assembly elections in five states.

As the second wave of covid intensifies in India, the rise in fuel prices is a major setback for the public.
