Two girl students go missing from Cherthala; found after three hours

Two school students went missing from the town today evening creating panic among the public. However, the students were found from Kuruppankulangara after three hours. Two girl students of a government higher secondary school were went missing around 4 pm on Monday. They had taken this big step out of a fight that occurred with the classmates. They had bid farewell to the classmates while going. This raised suspicion among students who later informed the teachers.

On the search that followed, the cycle of one of the student was still parked at the shed and the other students had not boarded her autorickshaw. With this the news of missing children was spread. Everyone was still in the shock of the death seven-year-old Devananda in Kollam. The matter was informed to police. Massive search was launched by police, school authorities and locals.

After two and half hours, a woman called up the police informing she has found the girls at Kuruppankulangara, 4 km from the town. The photos of the girls were posted and widely shared on social media which the woman had seen. When she spotted them, she could identify them. She blocked the girls and informed the police. Police and school authorities have said that the students will be given counselling.
