Elon Musk tweets ‘Free Britney,’ expressing his support for Britney Spears.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and a billionaire, recently came out in support of pop star Britney Spears, tweeting ‘Free Britney’ on Monday (July 5). Except for his recent tweet, Musk has made no other comments about the pop star’s conservatorship.

Britney has been in conservatorship for the past 13 years, according to ANI. It all started when she had a public breakdown following her divorce from Kevin Federline, after which her father Jamie Spears was legally granted control over her estate and all aspects of her life.

A conservatorship is a legal provision designed for people who are unable to make their own decisions or who cannot be trusted with control over their lives. According to ANI, Spears appeared virtually before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny on June 23 and demanded her independence.

During the hearing, she stated, “I simply want my life back. I’m not here to serve as anyone’s slave.”

“I’ve been traumatised. I’m not content, and I can’t sleep. I’m furious and cry every day “She continued.

In the June hearing, she also claimed that her medications had been changed and that she was being forced to keep a contraceptive intrauterine device (IUD) inside her to prevent pregnancy.
