PM Modi Flags Off Second Orange Vande Bharat Express from Varanasi to Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the second Vande Bharat Express in orange from Varanasi to Delhi. The new coach features onboard Wi-Fi infotainment, GPS-based passenger information system, plush interiors, biovacuum toilets with touch-free facilities, diffused LED lighting, charging points under every seat, and individual touch-activated reading lights. The train operates six days a week, starting its journey from Varanasi at 6 am, except for Tuesdays, and from Delhi at 6 am, reaching Varanasi at 2 pm, returning to Delhi at 3 pm, and concluding the journey at 11 pm.

It’s worth noting that Kerala received the first orange Vande Bharat train, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram on September 24. The orange color choice sparked some controversy, with accusations of it being politically motivated, but Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav clarified that the color was chosen for visibility and is commonly used in European countries for trains.
