Opposition Leader Calls for Probe into CBI’s Solar Case Findings, Accuses Nandakumar of Protecting Pinarayi

Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has demanded an inquiry into the alleged conspiracy uncovered in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) report related to the solar case. The report exposed a complex scheme designed to implicate former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in a sexual harassment case.

During a press briefing on Thursday, Satheesan highlighted that the report did not implicate any leader from the United Democratic Front (UDF).

“The CBI’s findings suggest a criminal conspiracy. The CBI should conduct a further investigation into the report. We have no objections to this. How can the police, operating under the current Chief Minister, investigate a case in which he could potentially be the main accused?” questioned Satheesan.

The Kerala Opposition leader alleged that Broker Nandakumar has close ties to the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government and asserted that the inclusion of VS Achuthanandan’s name in the issue was an attempt to shield Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

“The CBI report explicitly implicates Kerala’s Chief Minister and other leaders from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the conspiracy. Why did EP Jayarajan meet Nandakumar, who had been asked to leave the Kerala House by Pinarayi?” he inquired.
