New Delhi: The central team that arrived in Kerala for the Covid-19 assessment stated that lapses in implementing home-quarantine of patients resulted in an increase in cases.
The six-member team clarified that the increase in cases is not due to relaxations in Covid regulations. They delivered the primary report to the Centre.
Kerala treated the patients at their homes who had no comorbidities. The state government, too, warned people not to spread the virus within their families.
The Centre may soon decide whether to implement directions under the National Disaster Management Act.
