According to HDFC Bank’s strange job post, “2021 passed out candidates are not qualified”

New Delhi: HDFC Bank, which was caught in the centre of a massive scandal over a recruitment circular, has released a clarification.

The issue involves a job advertisement in Madurai in which the bank stated, “‘2021 passed out candidates are not qualified.”

The advertisement was picked up by a Twitter user and quickly went viral. In response to the tweet, HFC Bank confirmed that the post was a typo.

“…we sincerely apologize for the error. Graduates can apply regardless of graduation year as long as they match the age requirements. “We have already issued the right advertisement, which you can see here,” the bank tweeted.

Meanwhile, according to a recent CARE rating report, large corporates, primarily private sector banks and three major software firms, added a net 56,000-odd jobs during the fiscal year 2020-21, a paltry 1.6 percent increase over FY20, when net employment generation in the organised sector grew 4.5 percent.

According to the survey, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, AU Small Finance, Bandhan Bank, and HDFC Bank gained roughly 24,000 jobs, or 13.5 percent.
