Resumption of Physical Classes in Kozhikode Educational Institutions Amid Nipah Outbreak

In response to the Nipah outbreak in 2023, educational institutions in Kozhikode are set to reopen physical classes starting Monday. However, this decision excludes educational institutions located within containment zones, which will continue conducting classes online.

As per the directive issued by the district collector, students are expected to attend schools (with the exception of those within containment zones) from the upcoming Monday. To ensure safety, both students and teachers are mandated to wear masks and use sanitizers. Additionally, school authorities must make sure that sanitizers are readily available at the entrance gates of their respective institutions.

Educational institutions, ranging from schools to professional colleges, had temporarily closed for a week in response to the Nipah outbreak in the district.
