IMD Issues Warning of Isolated Heavy Rain Across 11 Kerala Districts Today

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of heavy and moderate rainfall in Kerala over the upcoming five days.

Today, a yellow alert has been issued for 11 districts in Kerala, namely Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. The alert signifies the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas within these districts.

The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has also raised concerns about the potential for high tides and sea-related incidents along the Kerala coast until 5:30 PM on September 15. As a precautionary measure, fishermen and coastal residents have been urged to stay vigilant.
