Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a global innovation summit in the pharmaceutical sector and deliver the keynote address at The Sydney Dialogue

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the First Global Innovation Summit of the Pharmaceuticals Sector in New Delhi (November 18, 2021). According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the event will take place via video conferencing at 4 p.m.

Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister, will also be present. The First Global Innovation Summit is a unique initiative that aims to bring together key Indian and international stakeholders from the government, industry, academia, investors, and researchers to discuss and strategize priorities in order to foster a thriving innovation ecosystem in India’s pharmaceutical industry.

According to the PMO, the event will also highlight the opportunities in the Indian pharma industry, which has enormous growth potential.

The First Global Innovation Summit of the Pharmaceuticals Sector will be a two-day event with 12 Sessions and over 40 national and international speakers discussing topics such as the regulatory environment, funding for innovation, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation infrastructure.

Leading members from the domestic and global pharmaceutical industries, as well as officials, investors, and researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, John Hopkins Institute, IIM Ahmedabad, and other prestigious institutes, will attend the summit.

Additionally, PM Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at The Sydney Dialogue on Thursday, speaking on the theme of India’s technological evolution and revolution, with introductory remarks by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The Sydney Dialogue will take place from November 17 to November 19. The Australian Strategic Policy Institute is behind the initiative.

The dialogue will bring together leaders from politics, business, and government to debate, generate new ideas, and work toward common understandings of the opportunities and challenges posed by emerging and critical technologies.

Shinzo Abe, Japan’s former Prime Minister, will also deliver a keynote address at the event.
