Suresh Gopi Confirms Acceptance of SRFTI Chairmanship with Special Assurance from PM Modi

Putting an end to the ongoing discussion, actor Suresh Gopi has officially declared his acceptance of the position of chairman at the Satyajit Ray Film Institute (SRFTI).

In a Facebook post, Suresh Gopi shared, “I am taking on this role with the assurance from the Minister that it does not constitute an Office of profit, is not a salaried position, and I will still retain all the political freedoms that I enjoy in every aspect.” This statement comes as a response to previous reports indicating his hesitation in accepting the role, as he was concerned about its potential impact on his political aspirations.

After receiving reassurances from Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Suresh Gopi is now prepared to assume his new responsibilities. He will officially assume the office upon receipt of a circular from the central government.
