Government Forms 10-Member Panel to Revise Grace Marks System in Schools

The Kerala government has opted to establish a committee comprising 10 members to overhaul the existing process of allotting grace marks to students in state schools. This committee will be led by the principal secretary of the general education department, with the general education director serving as the coordinator.

The primary objective of this committee is to revamp the grace marks protocol within the SSLC, higher secondary, and vocational higher secondary schools across the state. It has been specified that any grace marks granted this year will only apply to the current academic year.

Reports indicate that the committee will encompass representatives from different domains, including the general education directorate, higher secondary education, vocational higher secondary education, and the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.
