Nationwide Celebrations Mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 73rd Birthday

On the occasion of his 73rd birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being celebrated with a series of events organized by the BJP across the country. These two weeks of programs not only mark the birthday celebration but also signify the BJP’s aspirations for a third term for Modi as the Prime Minister.

Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, Narendra Modi is the third of six children of Damodardas Modi and Heera Ben Modi. His political journey began with his youth involvement in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and he later served as the general secretary of the BJP in 1987. Modi held the position of Chief Minister of Gujarat for 13 years starting in 2001 before assuming office as the Prime Minister in 2014. He was re-elected as the Prime Minister in 2019.

Under the leadership of the BJP, various programs, including blood donation drives and health check-up camps, will take place. The ‘Seva Hi Sanghatan’ initiative, spanning 16 days from today until Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, will prioritize the welfare and social services of marginalized communities. On his birthday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several developmental projects, including the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Yojana aimed at assisting artisans.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the first phase of the India International Convention and Expo Center, named Yasobhoomi, in Dwarka. The extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line from Dwarka Sector 21 to 25 will also be unveiled today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has faced criticism on various fronts during his political career, including issues such as demonetization, farmer protests, and proposed amendments to the Citizenship Act. However, BJP supporters assert that Modi’s unique approach to overcoming challenges ensures his potential for a third term as Prime Minister.
