Prime Minister Modi Extends Republic Day Invitation to President Biden

India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has formally invited President Joe Biden of the United States to be the chief guest at the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, as confirmed by Eric Garcetti, the US Ambassador to India. This invitation was extended during their participation in the G20 summit.

It’s worth noting that during the first term of Prime Minister Modi’s government, the then-US President, Barack Obama, had the honor of being the chief guest at the Republic Day Parade in 2015. In the most recent Republic Day celebration, the chief guest was President Abdel Fattah of Egypt. This invitation reflects the ongoing importance of India-US relations and signifies a significant diplomatic gesture.
