Saudi Arabia Aims to Woo 7.5 Million Indian Tourists by 2030 with 96-Hour Free Visa

Saudi Arabia is actively working to enhance its tourism ties with India, aiming to attract 7.5 million Indian tourists by 2030. Alhasan Aldabbagh, President – Asia Pacific, Saudi Tourism Authority, shared this ambitious goal during Saudi Arabia’s participation in the SATTE 2024 travel show. Aldabbagh emphasized India’s importance as a priority market for Saudi Arabia, highlighting a significant 50% growth in Indian visitors to the kingdom last year. As part of their efforts to streamline access for Indian travelers, Saudi Arabia has introduced a 96-hour free visa for those traveling through Saudi Airlines or Flynas, a private Saudi low-cost airline. Additionally, individuals holding a US, UK, or Schengen visa are eligible for e-Visa or visa on arrival.

Speaking about the enduring relationship between India and Saudi Arabia, Aldabbagh acknowledged the consistent expansion of mutual goodwill. This growth extends beyond the tourism sector to encompass economic, social, and cultural exchanges. The collaborative efforts aim to strengthen the flourishing relationship between the two nations. Aldabbagh also mentioned the introduction of a stopover program and plans to expand VFS offices in India to facilitate smoother travel. The SATTE (South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange) platform provides Saudi Arabia with a comprehensive opportunity to engage with industry professionals and further promote tourism between the two countries.
