KSRTC Ticket Refund Policy for Delayed and Cancelled Buses

Passengers traveling with Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) are entitled to a refund if their bus service is cancelled or delayed by over two hours. Refunds will be processed within 24 hours of the reported delay. In cases where errors occur in the reservation system, the service provider will face penalties, and the affected passengers will receive compensation. The ticket reservation system, outsourced to agencies, will enforce penalties for any service shortcomings.

For journeys disrupted by accidents or technical issues, refunds will be processed within two days, contingent on a report from the concerned inspector. Penalties will be imposed on officials if refunds are not provided. Additionally, if passenger details are missing from the final travel chart due to a reservation system glitch, the ticket charge will be refunded. Refunds will also be issued if passengers cannot be picked up due to rerouting. Passengers will receive partial reimbursements if lower-class buses are used in place of AC or first-class services.
